All-Day Dulcimer JAM @ Red Top

It’s an NGFDA Allatooner Satellite August tradition.  We’ll be porch pickin’ all day!

Date:      Saturday, August 2, 2008

Time:      10:00 am - dusk    

Location:    Red Top Mountain State Park Historic Log Cabin on Lake Allatoona.  Follow the paved walk from Park Lodge to Cabin      

 Directions:    I-75 Exit 285 Red Top Mountain.  Turn Right off exit, approx. 2 miles, and follow signs to Lodge 

                         (aprox. 11 mi. north of I-575/Town Center/Kennesaw State Univ. - approx. 2 mi south Cartersville)

 

 

 

 

 

 

v    Bring a buddy – all dulcimer friendly instruments welcomed!

v    Bring a chair for sitting/playing on Cabin porches

v    Park Lodge rooms, campground, cabins available for those spending the nite.  Reserve early

v    Lots of outdoor activity for your non-player significant others; such as sit and listen, fish, stroll, hike or bike the Red Top Park paths.  Etowah Indian Mounds and Booth Western Art Museum just up the road    

v    Rain plans?  Put your instrument case in a plastic bag and come on – we’ll be in the cabin.

 

Notes:

v    We’re not doing the Low Country Boil this year, so plan to eat at the Red Top Lodge restaurant or bring your own picnic lunch/dinner. 

o       Restaurant hours Bkfst 7am-10 / Lunch 11-2pm / Dinner 5-9pm

v    We will have ice coolers, cups, and peach ice tea.  BYO soft drinks & snacks and we’ll put them on the sharing table
