Memorial Day Weekend Jam at John Stockard’s House

Once again Jane and I are having our annual jam session here at the house on the Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend  - May 24th-25th !  You are all invited.  Jamming is to start any time after about 9:00am on both days – and will last until ????  We will have coffee, ice tea, and some snacks.   You might want to bring some of your own snack or drinks, too.   We will provide cups, plates, napkins, and eating tools.   This will be a mixed instrument jam… but probably more dulcimers than banjos and things.  We can set up jam groups in many different places around the house and yard.

We will have a potluck Saturday night around 6:30pm, so bring some phuud to share.  I am leaving up to you as to what to bring, so if you all bring deserts, then that is what we will have… you might want to confer among yourselves.   We have two ovens and a microzap.   We will try to make some room in our refrigerator and we also have the camper refrig for those needing to keep things cool.  Lunch on Saturday is on your own, and Sunday we will just snack on leftovers.  There are usually plenty!

Parking is always something of a problem  here, so PLEASE….PLEASE  try not to take up any more space when parking than necessary.   I will have some grassed area marked where you can park also.    We have a fair amount  of seating,  but you might want to throw in a chair or two just in case.  The Etowah River Campground is only about 5 miles away.  Motel info is on the map.

We are looking forward to seeing you all.  Sorry  I didn’t get a notice in the April newsletter…but put these dates on your calendar.   Come, wear old clothes, be comfortable  and lessssss make some music!!!!
