Go to your calendar and mark these dates: April 18 & 19, 2009. Make your plans now to attend the Bear On The Square Festival in Dahlonega, GA. The weather in April is sunny and pleasant, and north Georgia is beautifully adorned in blooming trees and flowers. The NGFDA will have a booth where we can all play, jam, socialize, and hang out. This will be the 13th annual Bear On The Square festival, celebrating music and spring. There are lots of hand-made crafts to browse, food vendors, jams all around the square, and concerts in the big tent. Sadly, this festival was without dulcimers for a couple of years - last year we began a new tradition of dulcimers at this festival, and hope to have even more representing our wonderful instrument this year. Let's show everyone that you can't have a mountain music festival without dulcimers! We have a tent and chairs; all we need is YOU! Come out and play with us!
